Gloria Estefan, 65, Born In 1957 – Conga
Gloria Estefan is called the Queen of Latin Pop as she paved the way for Latin artists to gain mainstream success, such as Shakira and J.Lo. It all started when she acted as the lead singer of the group Miami Sound Machine. In 1985, they released “Conga,” which became her signature song.
She has since sold over 75 million record sales worldwide, making her one of the best-selling female singers. Among her long list of accolades is the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Kennedy Center Honors for her contribution to music. Billboard named Estefan the 3rd most successful Latina. Continuing her legacy, she appeared in “Vivo” in 2021.
