Ruth Buzzi, 86, Born In 1936 – “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”
Comedian, singer, and actress Ruth Buzzi gained fame and acclaim for her appearance in the popular sketch comedy program “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.” During her time on the show from 1968 to 1973, she had earned five Emmy nominations and won a Golden Globe for her work.
She continued to find notable TV success after leaving that production and also became a popular voice actress. Some of her notable voice jobs included voicing Mama Bear on “The Berenstain Bears” and voicing several characters, in particular Ruthie, in “Sesame Street.” In 2020 she had a role in a film called “Glenn’s Gotta Go.”
