While Chuck Yeager might not be a celebrity, he’s a star in his own right. Chuck is a highly decorated US Air Officer, primarily as a pilot. After his service as an aircraft mechanic, Chuck enlisted for pilot training and when he graduated he was promoted to flight officer. He was even the first person in the world to fly faster than the speed of sound! After the war, Chuck was a test pilot for several types of aircraft. Chuck earned roughly around $1.5 million for his service to the country and has been happily retired since 1975.
