Steven Seagal is a martial artist with a successful career as an actor and musician. In the early ’70s, Seagal lived in Japan where he learned martial arts and later opened a dojo in North Hollywood. He crossed over to Hollywood in the 1980s and had his debut in the 1987 film, Above the Law. As a musician, Seagal plays the guitar and his songs have been featured in some of his movies. He had also worked in law enforcement and taught the deputies martial arts in the ’80s.
