It seems the retired businessman wanted the spotlight to be focused solely on the country music legend.

Dean’s choice of staying away from the limelight proved to be effective because their marriage is almost six-decade strong today. The couple first caught a glimpse of one another outside the ‘Wishy Washy’ laundromat in Nashville and fell head over heels in love.
