Cameron Diaz – Now 49
Nobody’s crazy enough to say that Cameron Diaz is no A-lister. Say, ‘Shrek,’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’, there’s no doubt where such talent matches up in the Hollywood hierarchy. It’s been eight years since the actress last graced moviedom, and now she’s ready to embrace back the spotlight and the lifestyle that comes along with it.
Guess what Cameron’s first movie was? The 1994 smash hit ‘The Mask’, where the former model auditioned without acting experience. Her breakout performance turned her into an overnight leading lady. She soon starred in the sleeper megahit, ‘There’s Something About Mary’, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. It got bigger after that, co-starring with the who’s who in Tinseltown, like Cruise, Reeves, and DiCaprio.
Michael French – Now 59
Every triumph is hard work —and Michael French knows a thing or two about that. As he went to entertain in Majorca and toured with a small theater production for three years. When all failed, he packed his showbiz dreams and worked a day job. Opportunity took its sweet time with him before it knocked on his door.
After quitting British Airways, French studied theater arts. Freshly graduated, he landed in West Ends, ‘Les Misérables’ and one time while performing, caught the eye of ‘EastEnders’ talent agent. He was booked for David Wicks’s part and appeared in the acclaimed series from 1993 to 1996. His growing fame led to more casting offers in ‘Casualty’ and ‘Born and Bred’.
Ralph Carter – Born in 1961
Some actors leave a lasting impression on the audience in a short time, and Ralph Carter is one such artist. He began his 17-year career with the broadway musical ‘The Me Nobody Knows’ when he was merely nine years old. Soon, everyone knew the talented actor through his memorable role as Michael in the ‘70s sitcom ‘Good Times.’
Passionate about singing, Ralph recorded an album titled ‘Young and in Love’ in 1975 and a decade later released the single ‘Get it Right.’ After that, he slowly moved away from the spotlight, choosing to retire from the profession entirely. In recent years, he has worked as a VP for Audelco, a company that supports performing arts in Black communities.
