Carmen Dell’Orefice – Born in 1931
Carmen Dell’Orefice first appeared on ‘Vogue’s’ cover when she was only 15, marking the beginning of a long and prestigious career in the beauty and fashion industries. At the peak of her career, to the disappointment of many, Dell’Orefice would briefly call it quits on modeling until she had financial problems that forced her back into the job she was good at.
A recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts London, this star has worked with several top brands, among them, ‘H&M,’ ‘Marie Claire’ and ‘Sephora,’ and been on the covers of Australian, Thailand, Arabian and Swiss magazines. Dell’Orefice, still a model even in her 90s, is today the oldest working woman in the profession.
