Ray Anthony – 99, $1.5 Million
Anyone who loves swing music knows the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The famous band’s last living member is Ray Anthony, who played the trumpet. After playing in the group for a year, he even appeared in Glenn Miller’s ‘Sun Valley Serenade.’
When World War II broke out, Anthony had to leave his career behind to join the U.S. Navy. Upon returning home, the musician founded his own band called The Ray Anthony Orchestra. It was quite successful, coming up with hits like ‘Hokey Pokey’ and ‘The Bunny Hop.’ The bandleader also tried his hand on television shows and films, but he was most successful in music.
