ECUADOR

Ecuador is a country located in the northwestern part of South America. It is one of the few countries in the world that lies in both hemispheres. The name Ecuador comes from the equator which divides the northern and southern hemispheres of the Earth. The country has even erected an impressive monument at the site “Mitad del Mundo” where tourists can stand and be in both hemispheres at once! The country also has a strong football team which played its first game at the 2022 World Cup against host Qatar – and lost its second game against Senegal. Nevertheless, loyal and beautiful fans cheered their team until the end!
