Marilyn Knowlden – 94

Marilyn Knowlden had a remarkable career as a child actress, acting alongside legends like Bette Davis and Katharine Hepburn. She took some time off in 1944 to focus on her education and after graduating, Knowlden found her way into songwriting and playwriting. She authored several plays and songs. She also managed to appear on Broadway at an astounding 70 years old on ‘My Fair Lady’. In 2011, she released her memoir titled ‘Little Girl in Big Pictures’, chronicling her time in Hollywood as a child actress and retelling what she describes as the “rest of the story” of her life.

Since she was young, Kathleen Hughes aspired to be an actress, which came true when she signed to 20th Century Fox in the 40’s. Her best years in acting was surprisingly when she worked with Universal Studios, which helped her land roles in classic films like ‘It Came From Outer Space’. Hughes also starred with Kevin Costner in 1990’s ‘Revenge’ which is amongst her most notable roles. She also managed a respectable career on TV, padding her already stacked estate. Hughes enjoyed a long marriage of 59 years to Stanley Rubin, until his death in 2014 from natural causes.
