Evgeni Malkin – Pittsburgh, PA – $2.195 million
The Pittsburgh Penguins have Evgeni Malkin serving as their alternate captain and ice hockey center. Malkin has represented Russia internationally during two IIHF World U18 Championships as well as three U20 Championships. He got his start playing for the junior and later senior teams in his hometown club Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Malkin received the Calder Memorial Trophy following his first season with the Penguins as the best NHL rookie. His list of NHL achievements also includes taking the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Final in 2008. His successful career means that Malkin isn’t about to file for chapter 13 bankruptcy anytime soon, and in 2010, Evgeni sold his Pittsburg mansion for $2.195 million.
