Julie Newmar – Now 88

Julie Newmar was the original Catwoman in the TV version of Batman. But she wasn’t only a pretty face for the screens. Julie was talented enough to perform in several Broadway shows, notably ‘Marriage-Go-Round’ along with TV and films. Besides acting, Tina also dabbled in writing, dancing, voice-over work, real estate, and fashion. It was in the 1970s that Newmar acquired two patents in the US – one for a brassiere and another for a pantyhose. By the 1980s, the prospect of LA real estate seemed inviting to Newmar so she began doing business there, too. Her range of activities added to her $5 million fortune.
