Robby Benson and Karla DeVito first met while playing Frederic and Mabel in the Broadway show “The Pirates of Penzance”. Although it took a while for Benson to admit it, he was smitten with her from the start. On the other hand, DeVito wasn’t interested in any romantic relationship at that time.
