Wanda Sykes & Alex Sykes

2008 marked a pivotal year for Wanda Sykes, both personally and professionally. She came out as a lesbian and tied the knot with her French partner, Alex Sykes. Their family grew in 2009 with the arrival of twins, Olivia and Lucas. However, in 2011, Wanda faced a major health scare after being diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of early-stage breast cancer. To reduce her risk, she bravely chose to undergo a double mastectomy. Through it all, Alex remained her rock, offering unwavering support during her recovery.
