Mikaela Shiffrin & Aleksander Kilde – 1 Year

The phrase “the couple that skis together, stays together” is probably accurate for Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Kilde. Aside from sharing the same sport, the pair got together in 2021 when both were going through a rough patch in their lives. The six-time World Champion was mourning her father’s passing at that time while Kilde was recovering from an injury.

Nevertheless, they first laid eyes on one another in 2015, but no romance blossomed from that first meeting. Seven years later, the Norwegian athlete reached out to Shiffrin to see how she was doing after her father’s accident, and they never stopped chatting. With the same passion they have for skiing, there’s a possibility the couple’s relationship is for keeps.
