The Daily Express dubbed her “The Face of 1966” and voted her British Woman of the Year. She had modeled in France, Japan, and the United States by 1967, and appeared on the covers of Vogue and The Tatler. Her fame had reached all corners of the globe. After modeling, Twiggy enjoyed a successful career as a screen, stage, and television actress.

Penny Smith has spent more than four decades as a newsreader, TV and radio broadcaster. She’s previously worked for Classic FM, Sky News, BBC Radio London, GMTV, talkRADIO, and Scala Radio, where she’s hosted the weekday drivetime show since March 2021. Smith is also a writer whose work has featured in the Daily Mail, Good Housekeeping, and Essential Magazines, among other national publications. At the age of 63, she’s still at the top of her game, and it doesn’t appear that she’ll be retiring anytime soon.

1969 was a great year. Not only did we land on the moon, but English glamor model and performer Maria Whittaker was born! You might wonder if someone as old as the first successful lunar mission could still be in great shape and we’re here to tell you that Maria most certainly is.

She gained fame when she appeared on the Benny Hill Show and had a very successful career from there on out. Eventually, Maria retired from modeling and started a band called Rythm Zone although that did not go so well. But that doesn’t bother the former starlet, who enjoys a happy marriage and family life today.
Michelle Ryan – Now 37
Michelle Ryan’s most iconic role has to be as Zoe Slater in EastEnders, as fans of the show are still talking about her to this day. The storyline had all sorts of twists and turns, and her acting kept audiences hooked! While she got started in the industry at the young age of 16, the actress left the TV series in 2005 to pursue other ventures.

Ryan has since worked on many notable projects, including Cockneys vs. Zombies, Doctor Who, and D**** in Paradise. She even dabbled in theatre, but currently, the star stays off from the limelight and is not active on any of her socials.
Susan Tully – Now 54
The name Susan Tully might not be familiar to you, but your parents will probably recognize this English actress as one of the original cast members of the popular British soap opera Eastenders.

However, Susan developed a love for working behind the scenes on television and that is where she is still shining to this very day. Her directing skills have earned her much critical acclaim and she’s responsible for giving life to many a different episode since the early nineties! The A Word, Britannia, and Line of Duty are a few names on this long list, so we’re certain you’ve seen her talent in action at least once!
Lesley-Anne Down – Now 68

English actress Lesley-Anne Down initially gained fame playing the character Georgina Worsley on the ’70s drama Upstairs, Downstairs. Her appearances in movies like The Pink Panther Strikes Again, The First Great Train Robbery, and Sphinx earned her further recognition. She then portrayed the role of Jackie Marone from 2003 to 2012 in the long-running CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Down has spoken about the indecent misconduct she had to deal with in the industry. She said that she never really enjoyed her acting career because of all those incidents, but she managed to stay on for an impressive 50 years. Now at 68, she attributes her stunning and almost non-aging looks to a healthy lifestyle.
Pam St. Clement – Now 79

Born Pamela Ann Clement, Pam adopted the name Pam St. Clement when she decided to be professionally involved in acting, back in the 1970’s. A hardworking star from the start, Pam started taking on small roles in order to work her way up. In 1986, Pam landed a big role as Pat Butcher in the BBC soap opera titled Eastanders, by which she is best known for. She ended up playing Pat for 26 years! A recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Pam has an autobiography to her name titled The End Of An Earring. Pam St. Clement is now in her 70’s and has opted to be on the quieter side, away from the public.
