Peter Richardson – 69 Years

Peter Richardson is a man with a vision. He founded the Comic Strip troupe, which provided a platform for his and Nigel Planer’s double act, as well as giving exposure to other comedians such as Rik Mayall, French and Saunders, and Alexei Sayle, thus launching their careers. His innovative approach saw him create experimental shows combining comedy with rock music; two of these shows toured the United Kingdom and were called Rank and The Wild Boys. Although he did not act himself, he produced and directed some major films including Carry On Columbus and Stella Street. His most recent directorial work was The Comic Strip Presents Redtop in 2016.
