Harry Belafonte – Now 95
Manhattan native Harry Belafonte has experienced the lowest of lows in life, almost facing bankruptcy. He managed to lift himself out of the ditch by utilizing his gift, which was singing. Harry pumped out hit after hit (30 studio albums and eight live albums!) which mainly revolved around traditional Caribbean music art. Besides that, Harry also tried his hand at acting, appearing in great films such as ‘Carmen Jones’ and ‘Island In The Sun’. He was also a close friend of Martin Luther King, and is strongly supportive of the Civil Rights movement since the ’50s!
