1969 was a great year. Not only did we land on the moon, but English glamor model and performer Maria Whittaker was born! You might wonder if someone as old as the first successful lunar mission could still be in great shape and we’re here to tell you that Maria most certainly is.
She gained fame when she appeared on the Benny Hill Show and had a very successful career from there on out. Diana also went into acting and was nominated for both the Golden Globe Award and Academy Award. Diana is so successful that Billboard magazine named her as “Female Entertainer of the Century”. Now at the age of 78, Diana is still active in both singing and acting. She makes tours every year and her 2020 tour has been pushed to 2021 due to the pandemic.
June Lockhart – 95

A regular on Broadway, June Lockhart found work in the movie industry by taking on roles in shows like ‘Lassie’, ‘Petticoat Junction’, and ‘Lost in Space’. She has received great awards for her performance, including a Tony award. Unlike her career, June suffered from a troubled personal life after going through divorce twice—first from John F. Maloney, whom she married in 1951, and her second from John Lindsay, whom she married in 1959 (the same year she divorced Maloney). Despite that, she managed to rake in a $10 million net worth by the time she retired.
Philip Michael Thomas – Now 72
Philip Michael Thomas was a well-known actor and musician before he retired in 2011. Most would know him from a 1980s television show called Miami Vice, where he portrayed detective Ricardo Tubbs. Philip made his first steps in the acting world in 1972, while his first remarkable role was in the 1975 animated crime film, Coonskin.

Larry Storch – 97

Most of you would probably recognize Larry Storch as Cpt. Randolph Agarn on sitcom ‘F Troop’. But did you know he also voice acted in several iconic animated shows such as ‘Scooby Doo’ and ‘Koko the Clown’? During the Great Depression, Storch was greatly affected by the economy, which forced him into working as a stand-up comedian to make ends meet. Penny Smith – Now 63

Penny Smith has spent more than four decades as a newsreader, TV and radio broadcaster. She’s previously worked for Classic FM, Sky News, BBC Radio London, GMTV, talkRADIO, and Scala Radio, where she’s hosted the weekday drivetime show since March 2021. Smith is also a writer whose work has featured in the Daily Mail, Good Housekeeping, and Essential Magazines, among other national publications. At the age of 63, she’s still at the top of her game, and it doesn’t appear that she’ll be retiring anytime soon.
Pam St. Clement – Now 79

Born Pamela Ann Clement, Pam adopted the name Pam St. Clement when she decided to be professionally involved in acting, back in the 1970’s. A hardworking star from the start, Pam started taking on small roles in order to work her way up. In 1986, Pam landed a big role as Pat Butcher in the BBC soap opera titled Eastanders, by which she is best known for. She ended up playing Pat for 26 years! Lauren Tewes – Now 68

Famous for her role as Julie McCoy in a comedy series, The Love Boat that was aired from 1977 until 1986, the beautiful American actress, Lauren Tewes started acting in 1976. Her acting career started small when she was starred in 1974 Lipton Ice Tea commercial. She then gained another small role in Charlie’s Angels television series as Jill Redfield. But her career went uphill when she was chosen from numerous actresses to be Julie McCoy in , The Love Boat, but after 7 seasons she was soon replaced after fighting with her addictions. She never actually played a big role in television series or movies but she is well-known by a lot of people. Lauren is still working as an actress to this day.
Loni Anderson – 75
Does anyone remember Loni Anderson, the actress who played as the receptionist in WKRP in Cincinnati? She was nominated for multiple Golden Globe and Emmy awards and recently turned 75, but she doesn’t have plans on retiring. However, her daughter Deidra Hoffman was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2009 and Loni stays home to support her daughter.

Recent reports say that Deidra is currently still battling against the disease. We sincerely hope that she recovers. Loni was most recently seen in a TV series titled My Sister Is So Gay, in 2018. Since 2008, she is married to Bob Flick, her fourth husband, and besides Deidra, Loni has one more child.

Anyone who is into soap opera knows Victoria Principal. Victoria is famous for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the American soap opera series Dallas which has has been in for 9 years. English actress Lesley-Anne Down initially gained fame playing the character Georgina Worsley on the ’70s drama Upstairs, Downstairs. Her appearances in movies like The Pink Panther Strikes Again, The First Great Train Robbery, and Sphinx earned her further recognition. She then portrayed the role of Jackie Marone from 2003 to 2012 in the long-running CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Julie Goodyear was diagnosed with cancer shortly after being cast for a permanent role on Coronation Street. While the actress never publicly talked about her illness until she had fully recovered, her frequent absenteeism from the show soon began raising questions among fans.

A year after leaving the program in 1995, Goodyear was honored with a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and she pursued other interests, including radio DJing and reality TV. Michael French knew early in life that acting was what he wanted to do. After years of actively participating in school productions, the star landed his first paying acting gig at 22, with a local theatre in London. He finally got his major break on BBC’s soap opera, EastEnders.

French has since been on multiple shows, with his last appearance being on 2014’s musical, The Sound Of Music, as Captain Von Trapp. He has yet to make an official retirement announcement, so we hope the entertainer will be returning to our screens soon, as he is only in his late fifties.
