One of the greats in American literature, Herman Wouk’s published works have been translated into many languages along the years. His body of work is immense, and Herman has even been dubbed as America’s Leo Tolstoy! A large number of his work revolves around historical events such as World War 2. Today, the legendary author spends his time away from the spotlight by living a life of simplicity. His last published work was a memoir, titled ‘Sailor and Fiddler: Reflections Of A 100-Year-Old Author’. In 2008, Wouk was the recipient of the Library of Congress Lifetime Achievement Award for the Writing of Fiction.
