An iconic musical star from Hollywood’s Golden era, Ann Blyth has numerous acting credits to her name in musical films and stage plays. Her best-known appearance was as Veda Pierce in 1945’s ‘Mildred Pierce’ which won her a nomination for an Academy Award. Blyth retired from the industry in 1985 which followed her gradual slowdown after getting married in 1953. Her last TV appearances were in 1983, in episodes of Switch, Quincy, M.E. as well as in Murder, She Wrote in 1985. For her immense contribution to the entertainment industry, Blyth was granted a motion pictures star at 6733 Hollywood Boulevard.
