Tommy Rall – 90
Tommy Rall’s bane was the book. He found it very hard to read as a child, which prompted his mother to encourage alternative pursuits. Rall’s mother took him to ballet lessons and other forms of dancing. Rall somehow landed a role on Broadway and his display of ballet and tap-dancing skills astounded the audience, making him an overnight star. He was a prominent figure in the musical comedies of the ‘50s. Interestingly, in 2007, Rall discovered that a dance instructor has been impersonating him for years, which led to Rall threatening legal action.
