Sigourney Weaver is an enigmatic figure in showbiz, but nonetheless she is a great actor. Not many actors can say they’ve been nominated for 3 Academy Awards. Since October 1984 she has been married to Jim Simpson, a stage director. When Charlotte Simpson, their daughter, went away to college in 2008, her Mom really felt the loss, especially since she is their only child. Charlotte does not want to pursue acting as a career, but she is still interested in the industry. Charlotte prefers working behind the camera, opting to work as a camera assistant for many productions.
