Turn Up Charlie – Cancelled

Fans of Idris Elba who were looking forward to seeing more of him in Turn Up Charlie; prepare to be disappointed because the show will not be continuing with season two. Besides from having a starring role in the show, Elba was also the executive producer. The show, which showcased Elba’s penchant for DJ-ing, is about a struggling musician who is forced to become sort of a guardian to his best friend’s daughter and that’s when the fun begins. The eight-episode series was aired back in March last year and received less than desirable reviews from critics.
