From our school days, we’ve always known about the evolutionary link between chimpanzees and humans. Evidence continues to emerge that strengthens this connection, and here’s another fascinating example. Chimps are typically friendly towards people, but seeing one pose effortlessly for a camera, just like in a typical group photo, is something extraordinary. It’s no shocker, though, that chimpanzees are fond of the beach, much like we are. They share our love for water, though swimming isn’t instinctive for them and requires some learning. As Discover Wildlife points out, they relish splashing around, but swimming can be risky since some chimps are susceptible to drowning.
