Dick Van Dyke – 92
At 92 years old, Dick Van Dyke has spent more decades in the entertainment than not. A triple threat in singing, dancing, and acting, Dick amassed a $50 million net worth over the years. His most well-known series to date is The Dick Van Dyke Show, along with many classics such as Bye Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The actor also fathered Barry Van Dyke who also joined the entertainment businesses. Dick and his son even appeared together in Murder 101, a made-for-television mystery film. Back in 2013, Dyke almost lost his life in a car accident. He was moved from the wreckage moments before the car was engulfed in flames.
Joe Pesci – 75
There are little films as culturally defining as ‘Home Alone’, which featured Joe Pesci as the iconic vandal. Besides that, Pesci has also starred in a number of films, but his defining role was definitely as Harry Lime in the aforementioned film. Somewhere along the lines, Pesci left Hollywood in order to pursue singing as a career, but he fell off the industry entirely and barely made any appearances anymore. Some sources quote that Hollywood isn’t really his cup of tea, and he decided to recede to a more personal environment.
Meg Ryan – 57
Although most people wouldn’t admit it, we’ve all indulged ourselves in the occasional guilty pleasure in the form of rom coms. There is nothing better than a cozy blanket, ice cream, and Meg Ryan movies in the 90’s. At one point, she was even coined the ‘Queen of Rom Coms’, citing films such as ‘When Harry Met Sally’, ‘You’ve Got Mail’, and ‘Addicted to Love’ as benchmarks. As art imitates life, Ryan’s love life was as turbulent as her movies. There were rumours about her having an affair with Russell Crowe, which she subsequently admitted to. However, in a strange turn, Ryan stated that the affair was liberating to her, as her husband Dennis Quad also cheated on her.
